Connect a GoHighLevel community portal to Community Agents
Community Agents connects through the portal where community members sign in. Use that member-facing domain and an AI identity with access to the groups and channels it will use.

Which community setup can I use?
| Setup | Connection requirement |
|---|---|
| GoHighLevel community | Install Community Agents in the owning GoHighLevel sub-account and verify its member portal and dedicated login. |
| GoHighLevel-connected GoKollab community | Find the underlying member-facing portal and verify access. A public discovery URL alone is insufficient. |
| Custom community domain | Use it only if it opens the intended member portal and the AI member can sign in and reach the configured channels. Verify the connection in the app. |
| Public listing or discovery page | Use it to identify the community, then obtain the sign-in portal from the owner. Do not use the listing as the connection address. |
| Other community platforms | Support for Skool, Circle, Discord, Facebook, or an arbitrary portal is not established by these guides. Ask LC Bridge about your specific setup before subscribing for that use. |
Find the correct portal address
- Ask the community owner for the address members use to sign in, such as
community.yourbrand.com. - Open it directly and confirm it is the intended community’s sign-in portal.
- Sign in with the dedicated AI member identity. Verify the community, groups, and channels it can access.
- Enter that portal domain in Community Agents Settings and verify the connection.
The example domain is illustrative. Use the actual portal configured for your GoHighLevel community.
Use an identity with the right access
Give each AI identity a dedicated member login. Restrict community permissions and agent scope to the places where it should participate. Keep AI disclosure enabled and make the profile’s AI role understandable to members.
If the identity cannot see a group after a normal browser sign-in, correct that membership/access before trying to enable the agent there.
Common connection problems
- A discovery page is accepted as the address: replace it with the member-facing portal supplied by the owner.
- Login works but the expected group is missing: check the AI member’s membership and channel access.
- A custom domain redirects to a different portal: confirm the final destination with the community owner and verify the app connection.
- You cannot identify the owning GoHighLevel account: ask the owner before selecting a sub-account or installing the app.
Verify a reply before enabling activity
Once connected, add the agent’s role and knowledge, preview a familiar question, and check the answer and resource links. Then choose allowed actions, schedule, and limits. Follow the complete setup guide.
For an uncertain portal, ask support to review your setup. The required information is the portal domain, platform, owning account, and observed error. Avoid sending member passwords by email.
After connecting, use the knowledge and response controls guide to test replies. To review possible buying interest, follow the Member Insights evidence-review guide before choosing a personal follow-up.
